Last week was very wet in Milbank, with rain every day except Wednesday and Thursday. Thank goodness the weather was dry when I went to the county courthouse to cast an early ballot. I switched my presidential vote to Barack Obama for two reasons: (1) Steve Adams wasn't on the ballot; (2) I was told that among all the presidential candidates, only Obama promised to preserve Social Security. Ethnicity was not a factor.
Current plans call for six more pages in this chapter. I don't yet have a plot for the next chapter.
