The upper Midwest of the United States had an eight-state blizzard this past weekend. For the fourth time in the Metrodome's history, the heavy snow on Saturday, Dec. 11, destroyed the roof of the Minneapolis stadium, causing the Giants-Vikings football game to be postponed and relocated to Detroit. Here in South Dakota, the blizzard wasn't too bad for those who prepared for it.
We will soon celebrate the birth of him who said, "Is not life more important than food, and the body more than clothes?" (Matthew 6:25b). Though God does provide for his people, only those who are willing to work and earn an honest living may expect support from their neighbors.
